“A Rapa Das Bestas” is a festival held in La Estrada region, Pontevedra, on the first weekend of July (3-6 July 2020) . It is an old tradition which has been celebrated at least since the 18th Century. It seems it was for a symbolic initation for the transition from childhood to adulthood.

Descent of the Cinca river with traditional Nabatas
The Festival known as Descent of the Cinca River features the Nabatas, traditional wood barges used since the XVI century to the middle of the twentieth Century to transport wood down the river. This was the only means of subsitence for the people living in this region of the Pyrenees. Due to the erection of dams and transport development, this means of transport is not used any longer.
