“Curro de Candaoso” or ‘Rapa Das Bestas’ of San Andrés de Boimente takes place on the first Sunday in July. During the early hours and after the traditional breakfast of garlic soup, the horsemen round up the semi-feral horses living on the mountain and lead them to the ‘curro’ (corral), where the spectacle begins around eleven am. A Rapa Das Bestas, Sabucedo
“A Rapa Das Bestas” is a festival held in La Estrada region, Pontevedra, on the first weekend of July (3-6 July 2020) . It is an old tradition which has been celebrated at least since the 18th Century. It seems it was for a symbolic initation for the transition from childhood to adulthood.
