Saint Sebastian Day was approaching and I did not have enough time to drive up to the city of San Sebastián -The Basque Country-. A mock military coup takes place in Ibi, Valencia region.
“Els Enfarinats”, in mock military dress and with their faces painted with colours, take over the streets. Armed with flour, eggs and firecrackers battle against the Opposition.
Wet, dirty, greasy or sticky, it doesn´t matter; quite the opposite, it looks as if this kind of festival attracts more and more visitors; and The Cascamorras is a good example of it.
